Description: For 75 years and counting. Southwest Electric Co. is an electrical services and equipment provider for energy generation companies and a variety of industrial markets. We offer a wide range of services, including engineering and design for custom product development. Southwest Electric Co. is looking for an experienced manufacturing Outside Sales Account Manager. Account Manager Summary: Manages regional and/or target customer accounts primarily for the purpose of building and maintaining an on-going business relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the customer and to Southwest Electric, covering Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and New Mexico.

Duties and Responsibilities
include the following:
- Travel to customer sites to visit customers to generally promote all products and services offered by Southwest Electric.
- Solicit business opportunities that fit the strategic goals and objectives as defined by Company management.
- Review customer specifications to determine whether certain business opportunities are within our capabilities.
- Review and or create proposals and quotations for products and services according to pricing policies.
- Identify market potential and orders potential within an assigned region or market.
- Prospect potential customer base to build awareness of Company offers and build opportunity funnel.
- Provide expertise and to recommend strategies consistent with the Company business plan.
- Participate trade shows and conventions, making presentations to customers, and developing commercial material.
- Lead the effort to resolve commercial disputes within assigned customer base.
- Provide commercial support and facilitate technical and project support to customers.
- Assist as necessary in the process of resolving payment disputes with customers
- Provide regular reports to Company management regarding commercial contacts and market conditions. Southwest Electric offers:

Requirements
:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
- Complete a satisfactory nationwide criminal background check.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Up to 80% of a work week is expected to include travel to customer sites or conferences.
- Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
