Description: Capital Paint & Supply, Inc., an automotive and industrial paint distribution company, seeks to hire an inside counter salesperson for its Hammond location. The company is seeking a candidate with work experience in which s/he has demonstrated the ability to manage tasks in an organized manner while maintaining a high level of customer service . This position requires a positive attitude while working with customers on a daily basis in addition to the ability to contribute to a team effort . Responsibilities: -Primary delivery driver -Takes and processes phone-in orders and walk-in orders -Mixes paint using computer formulation -Follows-up with customers on order status -Checks in inventory shipments and stocks shelves -Participates in product training -Learns general automotive and industrial paint knowledge -Assists salesperson with product availability and pricing -Coordinates inside sales activities and customer needs with coworkers -Completes other daily store tasks such as cleaning, trash disposal, etc. -Assists management by performing inventory cycle counts -Occasionally makes local deliveries and store transfers -Other store tasks Required Qualifications: -Valid Louisiana Driver's License -Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. -Proficiency using computers -Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) -2 years of counter sales experience -2 years experience working with or using paint -Knowledge of automotive or industrial paint industry preferable Company Benefits: -Pay Structure- $14.00-16.00/hr depending on experience -Medical Plan -Company-sponsored 401k Plan -Paid Holidays -Paid Vacation -Good Work Environment Screenings: -Background -Credit -Drug -Physical Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM with 1 hr lunch break, Occasional Saturdays 9AM-12PM Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off Shift: * Day shift Ability to Relocate: * Hammond, LA 70401: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
