Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a smooth leasing process for prospective tenants. This position requires strong sales skills, knowledge of property management practices, and the ability to effectively negotiate lease agreements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Assist potential renters in completing applications and understanding leasing terms.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, applications, and lease agreements using property management software such as Rent Manager.
• Negotiate lease terms and conditions with prospective tenants to secure leases.
• Handle administrative tasks related to leasing operations, including filing and maintaining tenant files.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address tenant concerns and ensure properties are well-maintained.
• Foster positive relationships with current tenants to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
• Stay informed about local housing laws and regulations, including LIHTC compliance, to ensure adherence during the leasing process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales or customer service; experience in property management is a plus.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Familiarity with property maintenance processes and the ability to communicate effectively with maintenance staff.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to persuade and influence prospective tenants.
• Knowledge of legal aspects related to leasing agreements and tenant rights is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
