Full description of the position

The Compact Sales Specialist is responsible for representing products focused on Compact Construction Equipment; Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers in a defined geographic territory with the ultimate goal of sales. In addition, this position will have a focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment as well as renting some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment. Some target customers include general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors. What is required: * A friendly and outgoing demeanor, complemented by strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills, with a talent for building and maintaining long-term business relationships. * Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) * Willingness to make "cold calls" in addition to nurturing and expanding existing relationships with well-established customer base * Keeping updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software * Dedication to developing and managing a defined territory * Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills. * General knowledge of heavy construction equipment * Maintaining up to date product knowledge * Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales) * Demonstrating a proactive sales approach with a strong focus on meeting deadlines * General knowledge of retail financing * Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Qualifications: * A minimum of three years of sales or industry experience is required * A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred * Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred * Valid driver's license * Bilingual helpful
