We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed Optician to join our eye care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments while ensuring high-quality customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities

: - Interpret and analyze optical prescriptions. - Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens coatings suitable for their visual needs and style preferences. - Accurately prepare and dispense eyewear according to prescriptions, ensuring proper fit and comfort. - Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure optimal vision and comfort. - Educate patients on proper care and use of eyewear and contact lenses. - Maintain accurate patient records, including prescription details and inventory management. - Collaborate with optometrists regarding patient care and treatment plans. - Stay current with industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology. - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing the practice of opticianry. - Perform in-store inventory management and ordering of lens and frame supplies.

Qualifications

: - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in opticianry preferred. - Valid state licensure as an optician. - Knowledge of optical products, lens types, and frame styles. - Strong communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Proficient in using optical equipment such as lensometers and associated technology. - Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

: - This role often requires standing for extended periods and the ability to lift light to moderate weights. - Work is performed in a retail optical setting with exposure to various eyewear products.
