Overview We are seeking a self-motivated, focused and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide attentive and knowledgeable customer service, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers. Along with working the register and front desk, you will be expected to be proactive in keeping the store clean; this includes staying on top of vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying trash and sanitizing surfaces. You will need to be able to handle the weekend rush, performing transactions accurately and quickly in a loud and fast-paced environment. You will also be tasked with familiarizing yourself with the layout of the store and our organization methods, putting items away correctly and combing the store for misplaced items. Essentially, we're looking for a sharp, motivated candidate with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a knack for organization and cleanliness. Must be 18+ to apply. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Operate POS / cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately * Have a substantial knowledge and appreciation for music and music culture * Be proactive in organizing merchandise / combing sections for misplaced records * Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times * Restocking products into store inventory correctly * Maintain awareness of customer activity in the store / check bags for shoplifting prevention * Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations Requirements * Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is strongly preferred but not required. * Knowledge of a wide variety of music * Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers or POS systems. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. * Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and sales techniques. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
