Overview The Design Consultant is responsible for selling Residential Garrety Home Pros products to include, Sunrooms, Decks, Showers, Windows and Shade products. The design consultant should possess excellent communication, telephone and organizational skills, being able to interact well with management, sales, customers, and installation; while satisfactorily completing multiple assignments in a timely fashion. The design consultant should be willing to run at least eight-ten (8 - 10) appointments during the weekdays, evenings and weekends. The design consultant should possess judgment, initiative, tact and personality in all areas of responsibility. The design consultant should be proficient in math, reading, writing, and have computer skills and aptitude. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Complete Appointments assigned by Company * Maintaining sales quotas, sales records, and job jackets * Maintaining and upgrading picture books and samples * Refining and practicing sales presentation and demonstrations * Professionally attired and presenting a prepared professional presentation to the customer * Developing self-generated leads * Follow-up on leads that were not closed, bringing in the sales manager when needed * Work with the homeowner throughout the customer lifecycle and visiting the job after completion of the job * Work and maintain a good relationship with the installation manager and following the process of each job * Continue education through refresher courses, seminars, books, tapes, etc. * Understand and manage appointment close % vs company established percentage close budget for each product * Attending all required sales meetings * Properly measure and price each job * Adhere to all policies and procedures as required by the dealer, the dealership agreement and the operations manual Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) * High School Diploma or GED * A minimum of 2 years related In-Home sales experience * Must have demonstrated success with in-home sales * Exceptional communication, telephone, and organizational skills * Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment * Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook * Exhibit willingness to learn company In-home Sales presentation and administer presentation during appointments * Exhibit understanding of appointment close % * Proficient in reading a tape measure * Maintain a valid United States driver's license * Exhibit discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with sales and marketing departments Join us as we work towards achieving our goals together!
