Full description of the position

Our client, a leading provider in the telecommunications industry located in Montpelier, VT, is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to develop and grow B2B sales across the local metro area. This role focuses on face-to- face prospecting and solution-based selling to small and mid-sized businesses, with no limitations on targeting larger accounts. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with a strong sales background and a passion for building lasting client relationships. Location: Montpelier, VT (+ travel) Salary: $60k-$70k/annually (+ uncapped commission) Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Key Responsibilities: * Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with business owners and C-level executives through in-person outreach and professional networking * Communicate the value and benefits of the company's telecommunications solutions to prospective clients * Accurately pre-qualify opportunities to ensure alignment with product offerings and customer needs * Document all sales activity within the company's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) * Consistently follow the established sales process, from initial outreach through closing * Meet and exceed individual sales quotas and performance targets as defined by the Sales Manager * Attend all scheduled client and internal meetings on time and with a professional demeanor * Travel within a 1-hour radius to meet clients and prospects across the assigned territory Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years of business development or outside sales experience * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals * Experience using CRM software to manage pipeline and customer relationships * Must have a "hunter" mentality and a drive to prospect and close new business * Willingness to travel locally as needed (territory radius of approx. 1 hour) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
