Summary We are seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join our team at Atlantic Plumbing Supply. This role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service and support to our customers while driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to our mission of being the premier plumbing supply distributor. Responsibilities * Provide outstanding customer service at the counter by assisting customers with their inquiries and product needs. * Engage with customers to promote additional products through upselling techniques. * Maintain an organized and clean workspace to enhance the customer experience. * Collaborate with Warehouse team members to ensure inventory levels are adequate and restocked as necessary. * Communicate effectively with customers over the phone regarding product availability and orders. * Develop and maintain relationships with our outside and inside sales teams to help service key accounts, as well as scout new sales opportunities all while ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services always. * Ensure customer orders are correct and data is correctly entered into the company database. * Must have basic knowledge of computer systems and database maintenance. Qualifications * 2+ years of retail Counter Sales experience is required * Knowledge of plumbing material is preferred * Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills * Must be able to work in all weather conditions * Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new skills Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods of standing at the retail counter and working on a computer * Ability to safely walk the warehouse and climb ladders * Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times. * Keep the counter and work area clean at all times, including shared areas such as coffee and vending stocked accordingly.
