Job Title: Parts Sales Representative Location: Livonia Company Overview: Carrier Great Lakes is a leading distributor of Carrier HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies, serving Michigan and Northern Ohio for over 30 years. Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Parts Sales Representative to join our team. This hybrid role blends sales, customer service, and technical support, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction through in-person visits and digital tools. Key Responsibilities: * Learn and efficiently use company systems, including CSD and QuotePro. * Process customer orders, returns (RMA), and direct shipments. * Manage warranty parts processing through Service Bench and outside vendors. * Create and manage customer E-cases for heating/cooling issues with the factory. * Drive daily to assigned customers in Downriver, Ann Arbor, Brighton, Commerce, and the Metro Detroit area to provide support and generate sales. * Develop and manage customer accounts (A, B, C categories), assisting with quotes, parts lookup, pricing, availability, deliveries, and vendor inquiries. * Promote products by providing literature, catalogs, cheat sheets, flash drives, and showcasing new product offerings. * Analyze customer purchasing patterns (OEM vs. aftermarket) to identify sales opportunities and compete effectively. * Implement barcode labeling at customer facilities to streamline purchasing from Carrier Great Lakes. * Assist customers with HVAC Partners and CGL App for parts lookup, ordering, and report generation. * Organize and execute cold calls to discover new business opportunities. * Collaborate with vendors, residential and commercial sales reps to expand product knowledge and grow sales. * Provide technical training on installation, startup instructions, product data, and troubleshooting resources. * Deliver and pick up parts as needed. * Conduct EPA testing as required. * Utilize Excel to create spreadsheets and manage inventory levels. * Design monthly promotional flyers using Word to market new and clearance products. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree preferred). * 4+ years of Sales experience in HVAC, parts, or a related technical field is required. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales goals. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to learn new software tools. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily travel.
