HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC Ditch Witch Sales of North Carolina is hiring a Service Technician for a position at our Garner location. We are growing and expanding - and need the staff to help us reach our goals. Pay structure is highly competitive - including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Responsibilities and Duties * Diagnose equipment issues and give recommendations for repairs * Perform all machine and/or engine repairs and adjustments * Test and verify correct operations of all repairs * Communicate effectively and professionally with customers * Set up new equipment to prepare it for sale * Inspect and maintain rental equipment * General and preventative maintenance * Occasional welding and fabrication Qualifications and Skills * High school diploma or GED is required. * Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required. * Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems * The ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics * Strong work ethic and a high level of integrity * Great attention to detail and sound problem-solving abilities * Heavy equipment experience is a plus * Completion of a related technology program is a plus This is a full-time position. We are a full-service dealership that provides equipment sales, rentals, parts, and service to customers across many different industries.
