Well respected Regional Property Management firm in business over 30 years with expanding fee management portfolio operating on the east coast is looking for a resourceful, community-minded team member for an affordable community. The Leasing Agent/office worker's primary responsibility will be to promote marketing of the property and qualify applicants for occupancy. This responsibility requires organization and great attention to detail. On a daily basis, the Leasing Agent may be conducting interviews, processing paperwork, interacting with various vendors and agencies, and at the same time, assisting with the several administrative and leasing tasks required to keep the rental office running smoothly. A successful candidate must be able to multi-task well, all within specific time constraints. Specific duties include the following: * Maintain property waiting list * Coordinate on-site data collections and processing of resident information * Schedule applicant interviews and site tours * Insure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc. * Coordinate apartment inspections * Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy * Assist office staff on other tasks, including collection of rents and social activities * Process all invoices * Maintain a utility log * Coordinate with exterminators by sending notices to residents Specific Requirements: 1. Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English 2. Must have previous leasing experience - Section 8 and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credit experience is required. A COS or similar certification is a plus but is not required. 3. Must be organized 4. Must be proficient with computers - knowledge of BostonPost property management software is a plus but is not required.
