Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their team in West Chicago. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of technical sales experience, preferably with a background in industrial or commercial steam boiler/HVAC sales, or mechanical/electrical/chemical sales. This role involves managing extended sales cycles, pursuing and following up on leads, and requires familiarity with governmental emissions regulations. Participation in trade shows and conferences is also a key component of this role. The position involves regular travel within Northern Illinois and surrounding areas, with up to 25% of the time spent on the road. * Reports to: National Sales Manager * Status: Full-time * Working Hours: Varies * Sales Territory: Greater Chicago Area * What you will be doing: * Lead development * Building and maintaining customer relations * Writing proposals * Closing sales deals * Providing consultative sales expertise * What you must have: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business * 5+ years of technical experience in the industrial field * Proven success in presenting information to various audiences * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency in MS Word and Excel * Ability to multi-task effectively * Basic understanding of thermodynamics * General knowledge of commercial steam systems Workwolf
