Overview
: Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join their team in West Chicago. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of technical sales experience, preferably with a background in industrial or commercial steam boiler/HVAC sales, or mechanical/electrical/chemical sales. This role involves managing extended sales cycles, pursuing and following up on leads, and requires familiarity with governmental emissions regulations. Participation in trade shows and conferences is also a key component of this role. The position involves regular travel within Northern Illinois and surrounding areas, with up to 25% of the time spent on the road.

- What you will be doing:
- Lead development
- Building and maintaining customer relations
- Writing proposals
- Closing sales deals
- Providing consultative sales expertise
- What you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business
- 5+ years of technical experience in the industrial field
- Proven success in presenting information to various audiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics
- General knowledge of commercial steam systems Workwolf
