Find out more about us at [please apply online] SUMMARY: The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving CTL's growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's client base. This role focuses on the development and execution of business development strategies that align with CTL's strategic plans. The Director will collaborate closely with internal teams such as Client Engagement, Operations and Finance to ensure alignment and successful execution of initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong ability to independently manage business development activities and foster key relationships. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to drive company growth, focusing on expanding the client base and entering new markets. * Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and target industries to drive business growth and support expansion efforts. * Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights that can drive business strategy. * Proposal Development: Create compelling business proposals and presentations, tailored to prospective clients' needs and aligned with the CTL's capabilities and goals. * Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, with a primary focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Director of Business Development, SVP of Client Engagement and Finance to align business development initiatives with broader company strategies and ensure seamless execution. * Contract Negotiation: Drive negotiations with prospective clients to secure advantageous terms and successfully close deals that generate value for the company. * Performance Tracking & Reporting: Utilize HubSpot CRM to track and report on business development success, focusing on key metrics such as pipeline progression, revenue growth, and new client acquisition. *Experience & Skills * Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships--preferably in logistics, fulfillment, or related services. * Ability to independently identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities. * Skilled in negotiating contracts and closing high-value deals. * Proficiency in using CRM systems, especially HubSpot, to track metrics and manage pipeline performance. * Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Operations, Client Engagement, Finance). * Strong market research and analytical skills to drive strategy and uncover trends and opportunities. * Excellent presentation and proposal development capabilities. Knowledge Areas * Understanding of logistics, fulfillment, and marketing promotions (ideal but not mandatory). * Familiarity with industry trends in CPG, retail, e-commerce, and marketing campaign execution.
