Summary: Automotive focused Account Director, located in our Birmingham, AL offices. Also open to potential remote/virtual situations in the right scenario. Responsibilities : * Act as client lead for automotive client base * Maintain regular contacts with dealer clients * Identify news business opportunities and grow automotive client base * Analyze and present strategy and media opportunities in partnership with teammates * Responsible for internal reporting and team management of direct reports * Prepare for dealer meetings; write contact reports * Research, preparation and presentation for client and internal meetings * Handle estimate, budget and billing management with Account Coordinator support team * Facilitate client/agency communication regarding day-to-day implementation Requirements: A bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications or related field and a minimum of 3 years of agency or dealership experience is required. Excellent communication skills required, as well as comfortability seeking out new business. Training in print and/or broadcast production with retail automotive, or retail account management experience is ideal. Working knowledge of creative brief writing process and media planning discipline. Skills: We are seeking candidates who are assertive, highly motivated and enjoy being an integral member of a team. Strong organization skills, ability to manage a diverse project load, attention to detail, and excellent communications skills are absolutely essential. Additionally, the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment is crucial for success in this position. Travel: Travel will be dictated by client opportunities and applicants desire to grow client base and new business.
