Ford's Colony Country Club is on the hunt for a charismatic, charming, and relationship-driven Private Events Sales Director tor to make Ford's Colony the go-to destination for weddings, galas, social soirees, and other events! As a Private Events Sales Director you'll be driving revenue for our properties, making a difference at the country club, providing mentoring and leadership to a new sales team. Compensation and Benefits : $50,000 Base Salary plus Sales Commission Expected Total Compensation of $85,000+ Full-time Associates Receive Benefits Including Health, Dental, Vision, and Life, 401(K), Std, Ltd, Paid Holiday, Vacation, Personal & Sick Time, Lean Management Training, and Other Employee Discount Benefits Through Our Hr- provider Ll Roberts. What You'll Be Doing*: * Embraces Echo Teamwork Values * Generate Events That Make a Financial Impact on the Property. * Solicits New and Existing Accounts to Meet/ Exceed Revenue Goals. * Methods of Sales May Include but Are Not Limited to Telephone Solicitation, Outside Sales Calls, Sales Presentations, Property Tours, Customer Meetings, and Written Correspondence. * Develops a Clear and Concise Sales Process to Attract Weddings, Corporate Outings, Catered Events, Banquet Events with Effective Follow-up for Each. * Closes Business Within the Assigned Segment Through Incoming Group Requests and Outbound Sales. * Conducts Sales Calls As Appropriate to Book Business. Works Closely with Department Managers to Maximize Revenue Potential. * Meet and Exceed Monthly Booking Goals and Sales Budget. Manage the Yield by Utilizing Minimum Expenditures. * Prepares Written Correspondence to Customers, Internal Booking Reports, and Ensures Proper Maintenance of Sales Files. Prepare Reports Such As Annual Sales Plan, Monthly Sales Report, Annual Goals, Sales and Marketing Budget, Forecasts, Etc. * Develop New Markets and Sales Strategies Using Catering Standards. Negotiation of Beo's, Wedding Sales and Follow-through. to Achieve the Highest Possible Customer, Member, and Guest Satisfaction. * Continually Analyzes Market Trends and Competition, Gaining Knowledge of Local Guests. * Proactively Works to Up-sell Groups to Include Golf, Merchandise, Rentals. * Recommends Changes to Established Parameters Based on Monitoring Costs, Supply and Demand, and Competition. * Participates in the Day-to-day Marketing Efforts of the Facility, Assisting the Director of Operations As Needed. What We're Looking for*: * High School Diploma or General Education Degree Required. * Minimum of 3 Years' Preferred Experience in Food & Beverage Sales and or Management * A Bachelor's Degree from a Four-year College Is Desirable, Preferably in Hospitality or Business Management or Substantial Hospitality Experience Will Be Considered. * Outstanding Customer Service Skills and Ability to Engage with Guests and Associates in an Attentive, Friendly, Courteous, and Service Oriented Manner. * Excellent Communication Skills in Terms of the Ability to Negotiate, Sell, and Influence Clients and Meeting Attendees. * Must Be Able to Speak, Read, Write, and Communicate in English to Adequately Perform the Duties of the Job. * Knowledge of Event Planning/Hospitality Principles and Practices. * Ability to Travel to Area Businesses and Accounts to Solicit New Business As Needed. * Ability to Make Decisions Based on Established Policies and Procedures and Guidance from the General Manager. * Outstanding Organizational and Time Management Skills. * Ability to Handle Sensitive Material with the Utmost Discretion and Confidentiality. * Must Be Energetic, a Self-starter, and Able to Work in a Fast-paced Environment. * Must Be Detail-oriented and Able to Work Both Independently and with a Team. * Must Be Effective in Handling Problems, Including Anticipating, Preventing, Identifying, and Solving Problems As Necessary. * Must Be Able to Show Initiative, Including Anticipating Guest and/or Operational Needs. * Must Be Able to Maintain Standards of Attendance and Punctuality and Must Be Able to Work Varying Schedules That Include Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, and Extended Hours As Business Dictates.
