Job Summary

: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Poultry Equipment Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team at Morris & Associates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, developing relationships, and promoting a range of poultry equipment and custom solutions across the United States. This role will require frequent travel (approximately 90%) to meet with customers, attend trade shows, and conduct product demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

:

  • Sales & Business Development: Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities within the poultry industry. Maintain and grow existing customer accounts to meet sales targets and company goals.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with customers, including owners, managers, and decision-makers in the poultry industry.
  • Product Presentations & Demonstrations: Conduct on-site product demonstrations, and provide technical training to potential and existing customers.
  • Market Knowledge & Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer needs to effectively position our products in the market.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Regularly update the sales management team on sales progress, market trends, and competitive landscape. Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Customer Support: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and offer technical support for poultry equipment solutions.
  • Trade Shows & Conferences: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company's visibility and network with potential clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, marketing, and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and align product offerings with market demands.
Qualifications

:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or production, preferably in the agricultural, poultry, or equipment sales industry.
  • Poultry Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of poultry plant operations and the specific equipment used in the industry is highly preferred.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 90% of the time, including overnight stays across the United States.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present multiple solutions and get into agreement with potential customers.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain technical aspects of poultry equipment products. Comfort with presenting complex product features and benefits.
  • Self-Motivated: Proven ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while meeting deadlines and sales goals.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel by car, plane, or other means as required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not required. Skills & Attributes:
