Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a well- organized store environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively sell merchandise. * Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. * Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts as needed. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Uphold company policies and procedures while supervising junior staff when necessary. Skills * Proficient in retail math to manage transactions and inventory effectively. * Strong retail sales experience with a proven track record of meeting sales goals. * Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems for efficient transaction processing. * Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases. * Competence in phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. * Ability to sell products through effective persuasion and relationship-building techniques. * Previous experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous but not required.
