About us My Sister's Cottage is a Christian boutique located in Wilmington, NC, in Mayfaire Town Center, specializing in clothing, home decor, and gifts. We are growing to Charleston, SC and we want you to join our team. My Sister's Cottage was created with a purpose. The mission of this local boutique is to establish one safe house, or cottage, for women escaping sex trafficking with every store created nationwide. 10% of all My Sister's Cottage profits are donated to local emergency shelters supporting survivors of sex trafficking. This Wilmington boutique has been operating in the Mayfaire Town Center location since January 2021. Sister's Cottage is a small business. We are autonomous and fun. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, friendly individual with a passion for apparel and a strong desire to interact with customers. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for style and an ability to quickly make clothing recommendations that are right on trend. JOB OVERVIEW: Sales Associates at My Sister's Cottage are the front line of our customer service, responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere and engaging with customers to ensure an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities include adhering to the Opening, Midday, and Closing Checklists, with potential involvement in inventory and backroom tasks as needed. Reports To: Store Manager, and Shift Lead Responsibilities and duties: * Warmly greet every customer when they walk through the door. * Inform customers about current sales and promotions. * Engage customers in meaningful conversations to build rapport, offering honest recommendations and assisting in product selection to drive sales. * Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries with knowledgeable and prompt responses. * Direct customers to what they are looking for by staying knowledgeable of the sales floor. * Ring up sales * Manage financial transactions by processing payments, processing cash, or other credit/debit cards. * Arrange for delivery/pick-up of customer orders if needed. * Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records. * Inform customers of any extra charges if necessary. * Invite the customer to follow us on all social media. * Use the Customer Request Form to keep customers informed about items of interest. * Alert management or security about any potential security concerns. * Complete tasks listed on the Opening and Closing Checklists. * Remain proactive on slower days, find productive tasks, or use the "when slow" list. * Collaborate with team members to maintain a tidy and organized sales floor. * Assist with backroom organization, display setup, and inventory tasks, including receiving, tagging, pricing, and stocking merchandise, when requested.
