Job Description

: Summer Seasonal Position Must be 16 years old by hire date. This role will conduct point of sale transactions and provide customer service. Examples of

Duties

:

• Computes or re-computes bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due.
• Makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts or tickets to customers.
• Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
• Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received.
• Gives cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
• Operates cash register, compiles printed list, and displays cost of customer purchase, tax, and rebates on monitor screen.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

:

• Six months of related professional experience
• High school degree or GED, active pursuit of a high school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word or similar software
