LOCATION: Smoky Mountain Farmers Co-op - Sevierville, TN * JOB DESCRIPTION: Smoky Mountain Farmers Co-op is looking to hire a reliable full-time or part- time Farm Counter Sales Associate at our Sevierville location. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting customers with selecting and ordering the correct agricultural products such as feed, fertilizer, metal roofing, large animal supplies, and more. A strong knowledge of farming and farm supplies is essential. * ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide excellent customer service * Maintain a helpful and positive attitude when working with customers and teammates * Assist customers in locating and purchasing appropriate products * Answer product-related questions and provide knowledgeable recommendations * Help with restocking and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor * Operate point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately * May be asked to perform other duties as assigned * QUALIFICATIONS: * General knowledge of agriculture products and equipment * Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team * Attention to detail * Must be dependable and punctual * Self-motivated with a strong work ethic * EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQURIEMENTS: * High School diploma or equivalent * Previous ag retail or customer service experience (preferred) * PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee or with reasonable accommodation to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Ability to move around the facility and grounds without assistance * Ability to repeatedly bend, crouch, kneel, stand, reach, grasp, crawl, walk, lift, push, pull, or climb * Ability to operate all equipment in a safe and proper manner * Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds regularly
