Full description of the position

Job Title: Group Sales and Ticketing Specialist Date: April 28th, 2025 Location: 7507 SW 44TH street, OKC OK 73179 Employment Status: Full Time non exempt - Hourly position POSITION SUMMARY The Group Sales and Ticketing Specialist supports all Museum of the Bible (MOTB) group sales customers by assessing their needs, identifying the appropriate solution and driving it to resolution to ensure a positive customer experience. The successful candidate will have a strong command of MOTB sales processes, extensive knowledge of MOTB products/services and the ability to offer quick and accurate assistance to group sales customers. The Group Sales and Ticketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Museum's Ticketing database. This role not only supports our multi-venue ticketing, but provides training, assistance and support to all the users of our Tessitura database, many with competing priorities and objectives. The person in this role will work closely with business systems database administration and maintenance, technical support, and troubleshooting. Strong communication and presentation skills are critical as this person must be able to train, share knowledge and articulate technical details in a clear and succinct manner for users with non-technical backgrounds. This position requires a detail-oriented, highly organized team player with excellent interpersonal skills. The right person will have a friendly and positive approach to working with others; motivated by finding workable solutions to difficult problems and enabling others to achieve objectives DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage Group Sales relationships with Tour Operators at an elevated level of professionalism. * Build sustainable and lasting relationships with MOTB Tour Operators and groups sales leads to close the sale and ensure follow up. * Outbound calling on previous Tour Operators and Groups that have visited the museum but have not had additional touch points. * Serve as a point of contact for booking Group Sales points of Contact * Generate reporting on MOTB group products and services * Help support customer acquisition and retention plans * Serve as an expert resource for all issues relating to Tessitura and related applications; working with users to troubleshoot and ensure proper functionality between Tessitura and websites. * Research, explore and assess feasibility of technical requirements for projects and customizations. * Lead Tessitura facility/product/event set-up; including, but not limited to pricing, pricing rules, promotions, fees, allocations, etc. * Create and maintain system, training and change management documentation. * Develop, lead, and facilitate both regular and ad-hoc Tessitura individual and group training sessions (in-person & video conference), including user set-up and onboarding. * Provide critical support, as necessary, after normal business hours and on weekends/holidays. * Actively engage with the larger Tessitura community focused on the exchange of best practices, ideas, end user adoption and knowledge sharing. * Collaborate and work effectively with multiple organizations, diverse team members, vendors and other stakeholders, as well as work independently. * Successfully manage multiple priorities including projects, tasks and help desk tickets. * Act as the backup for the Events and Ticketing Specialist when they are out. * Champion our mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Knowledge * Education: High School Diploma; college degree a plus. * 2-3 Years of Experience Skills / Core Competencies * 2-3 years' experience with Tessitura or similar software is strongly preferred. * Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), SharePoint and OneDrive. * Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation/training skills. * Attention to detail and strong time management required. * Group Sales experience * Effective communication skills * Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively * Experience in reporting and analysis * Understanding of basic business systems Abilities / Attributes * Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. * Passionate about the Bible and will champion our mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible. * Demonstrated ability in team building, training, managing and motivating others to adopt applications or data systems. * Problem solver, with enthusiasm for helping and supporting users to find new opportunities and improve processes. * Ability to work under deadlines without compromising accuracy or effectiveness. * Calm and confident under pressure, especially when dealing with time-critical system issues. * Independent, continuous learner who is self-motivated and thrives in discovery and research.
