Red Envelope is seeking a Sales Representative for a leading specialty food company to maintain the South Bend, Elkhart, and Mishawaka IN market. The role is responsible for maintenance and management of several customers, while creating development for future growth, and assisting with inventory and other assigned duties. Job Responsibilities: * Providing daily route maintenance and management of a customer base between 55-70 customers * Making weekly routine visits to maintain current items and increase account penetration * Developing the territory for future growth by bringing on appropriate new accounts * Ensuring accounts meet approvals through documentation and coordination with department supervisors: customer information, accounts receivable, customer credit/terms, transportation and routing, buyer inventory information * Supporting customers and transportation when emergency deliveries dictate (50 lb. cases) * Supporting manufacturing reps and brokers to increase sales through ride-alongs, new items and promotions * Preparing paperwork including mileage, expenses, new customer information, routing, maps, buyer inventory forms, returned items forms, credit forms, complaint forms, product review forms, itinerary, call lists, prospect lists, etc. * Developing positive customer relationships by responding to internal and external customer requests in a timely and expedient fashion * Collecting account receivables when necessary * Delivering quality products and service in every regard * Developing planned product presentations * Supporting warehouse, cheese room, box production * Assisting with inventory counts when needed * Assisting daily in selling partial cases to customers * Performing other work-related duties as assigned Job Requirements * Prior experience in the food & beverage and/or culinary background is required. * 2+ years of experience in an outside sales role is preferred. * Individual must be motivated to work independently, as well as with teams. * Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately. * Detail oriented with good written, verbal, and organizational skills.
