Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized assistance.
• Effectively sell products by utilizing upselling techniques and demonstrating product features.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to assist customers accurately.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Supervise and assist in training new employees, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the shopping experience.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively upsell products.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
