About Us: SBHIS Insurance Services , we are an insurance agency focused solely on helping Medicare beneficiaries find the best health plan to suit their needs-- completely free of charge. Our mission is simple: " Making Medicare Easier." We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive sales and build strong partnerships within South Bay and Imperial County. The BDM will play a pivotal role in cultivating relationships with medical groups, primary care physicians, and brokers to expand business opportunities and increase sales revenue in the region. Position Overview: The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving sales and increasing membership enrollment within the South Bay and Imperial County regions, with a focus on senior citizens , especially within the Hispanic community , which represents our largest member group. The BDM will work closely with medical groups , primary care physicians , and community partners to build lasting relationships that generate high- quality leads for the sales team. This role will also involve managing the broker channel , including recruitment, training, compliance oversight, sales, member retention, and marketing efforts. The BDM will collaborate with agents and leadership to ensure the team achieves corporate goals while delivering exceptional service to the community and contributing to long-term business growth that aligns with our company values. Key Duties and Responsibilities * Lead the Sales Strategy: Communicate SBHIS's value proposition effectively to the sales and broker teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals. * Build Relationships with Healthcare Providers: Regularly meet with doctors , medical groups , and primary care physicians to build strong relationships that generate new leads and business opportunities. * Recruit and Develop Top Talent: Build, recruit, and train a high-performing sales team while fostering strong relationships with medical groups, providers, and community partners to generate new leads. * Drive Sales Growth: Maximize membership enrollment by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. * Ensure Compliance and Performance: Monitor the sales team's performance to meet corporate objectives, ensuring compliance with regulations around enrollments, early cancellations, and disenrollment rates. * Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and lead-generation initiatives to maintain sales volume, profitability, and compliance. * Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the growth and success of the business. Experience, Skills & Abilities: * Proven track record in leadership and management , with the ability to motivate and develop teams to consistently achieve business objectives and sales targets. * Demonstrated ability to generate new business , build relationships , and drive growth within the healthcare industry. * Strong negotiation , communication , and interpersonal skills to effectively work with brokers, providers, and community partners. * Experience meeting with doctors and medical groups to foster partnerships and generate leads. * In-depth knowledge of healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare), including understanding of industry regulations, compliance, and best practices in sales and outreach. * Experience in outreach to senior populations, particularly in underserved communities, and tailoring communications to meet their specific needs. * Self-starter with drive, initiative , and the ability to follow through to meet deadlines. * Ability to multitask and communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , especially Excel. * Willingness to travel daily within the assigned territory. Education & Knowledge: * Bachelor 's degree preferred. * 3-5 years of leadership experience , preferably in the healthcare industry or business development. * Knowledge of Medicare is a plus. * Clean driving record required. * Life and Health License preferred.
