Full description of the position

Looking for an experienced Sr. Commercial Estimator/Sales to work in the commercial painting industry.

• Accurately asses and price large scale painting projects.
• Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to asses the scope of work required for the painting project.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Conduct site visits, meet with potential clients, present proposals, and answer technical questions regarding project.
• Mentor, train, and guide commercial junior estimators ensuring standards are maintained across the team.
• Utilize estimating software (blue beam) to efficiently calculate quantities and generate accurate estimates.
• Develop a training program for jr. estimators.
• Maintain data collection and ensure compliance from jr. estimators
• Studies specifications to assist the field team in planning for project procedures
• Has the ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Assures that self-performed estimates comply with the requirements of the overall contract
• Create Submittals in and get approvals from General Contractor
• Assists in the RFI/ASI and Change Order process
• Meet with General Contractors establishing business relationships

Requirements

:

• 10 years of estimating experience - in the painting trade is a bonus
• Must be able to read plans
• Moderately proficient in excel
• Experience in using plan reading software such as Bluebeam/Planswift
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting specifications, and performing accurate take offs.
• Proven ability to accurately calculate project costs Essential Abilities and Behaviors:
