Overview: Please read this posting in its entirety prior to applying. We are looking for an outgoing and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. We are a small, locally owned, and operated pet supply store. We very much appreciate our community and strive to be our neighbor's favorite pet supply store. We have zero desire to become like our big-box counterparts. We are somewhat flexible, and there could be some variance, but looking for someone who is able to work Sunday 12PM-6:30PM, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 3PM-9:30PM (~32.5 hrs/week). Key Attributes: * Trustworthy * Responsible / Dependable * Learner * Hard Worker * Physically Capable (lifting 40-50 lbs. of dog food while climbing a ladder safely multiple times a day) * Outgoing / Social * Motivated / Disciplined Responsibilities: * Greet and engage with neighbors (don't forget about the pets!) to understand their goals, problems, and or needs * Educating neighbors and helping them find the best products for their pets * Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately * Assist with running adoption events at the store * Maintain an organized sales floor, including restocking shelves, updating pricing and planograms * Maintaining a clean environment by sweeping, mopping, dusting and cleaning up after a pup's nature call * Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise * Assist with caring for the animals that we have in the store Skills: * Strength, balance, and stamina.
