Full description of the position
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Millwork Sales Representative who can assist customers by providing quotes and product information both in person and over the phone, while maintaining the company standards of excellent customer service. They may handle special orders and advanced pricing. This position generates sales by gathering customer's product needs, design specifications and acts as the company liaison between the company and the customer while also supporting the Outside Sales Representative. Essential Job Duties: * Conduct outbound calls and follow-up communications to generate leads and convert prospects into customers. * Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth. * Perform product demos to showcase features and benefits to potential clients. * Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for B2B sales initiatives. * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status. * Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences to inform future product development. * Engage in continuous learning about industry trends, products, and competitors to enhance sales effectiveness. * Manage sales leads that also help support the Outside Sales Representative * Determine customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions while promoting additional products and supplies for each job. * Leverage product promotions and rebate incentive to generate sales * Respond to customer inquires regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotes, handling complaints, and provide customer follow-ups that exceed customer expectations. * Coordinate delivery requests to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction * Establish rapport with new customers and nurture relationships with long term customers * Solicit feedback from customers on products and services * Maintain inventory database for supplies and materials used to ensure inventory control * Review purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company policies to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow. * Ensure purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate terms and conditions. Knowledge and Abilities: * Proven experience in inside sales or related fields such as retail sales or technical sales. * Strong business development skills with a focus on lead generation and relationship building. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients. * Proficiency in analyzing data to make informed decisions regarding sales strategies. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. * A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on achieving results. * Work collaboratively with other Outside Sales Representatives staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Education and Experience: * High School Diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset. * Minimum 2-3 years in building material industry with extensive knowledge of product and application.
