Position Summary
The Market Development Manager plays a crucial role in growing our business by developing new business opportunities in the market. They accomplish them through a partnership with Account Managers and Account Executives. This individual must be highly visible in the market, building strategic relationships with high-quality contacts, leveraging solutions across all lines of business within Workspace Solutions. As a "super connector," the Market Development Manager is expected to know what's happening in the market ahead of everyone, leveraging their deep network to create opportunities and deliver best-in-market customer experiences. By fostering partnerships with end-users, the design community, and key influencers this role will be instrumental in executing market strategies and targeted new accounts that drive growth and value.
Responsibilities
- Actively build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads by creating interest and uncovering new business opportunities ahead of market trends.
- Develop and execute strategic plans targeting relationships with end-users, commercial real estate brokers, owner's representatives, and the design community.
- Be visible in the market, developing strategic partnerships that position Workspace Solutions as the go-to provider for integrated solutions.
- Partner with Account Managers and Account Executives to identify client needs, budgets, and project timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for initiating and closing new business opportunities, ensuring successful outcomes from engagement to completion.
- Lead tailored, client-centric presentations that showcase Workspace Solutions' comprehensive offerings and address customer-specific needs.
- Attend and host market activities and events to stay ahead of trends and foster key relationships with industry influencers.
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients to drive long-term opportunities and reinforce partnerships.
- Accurately manage and report on client data, revenue projections, and business performance, ensuring alignment with growth targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, with at least 3 years of experience in commercial real estate or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to connect with industry leaders and influencers, serving as a "super connector" within the market.
- Proven sales and relationship-building skills, with experience working with clients, architects, general contractors, and vendors.
- Strong knowledge of market trends, with the ability to anticipate and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead meetings and effectively present solutions.
