Overview CabinetRX, the premier Cabinet Refinishing and Refacing company in Des Moines, IA is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as a sales associate. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with other members of the team to deliver leads and close those leads into booked business. This position will be a full time employee of our company and will be focused on Outside Sales. Sales will also be targeted towards both B2B and B2C, but you will focus more on B2B. Responsibilities (What You Could Be Doing) Since this is a hybrid role, you may be working on any or many of these tasks in a single day and may be required at times to switch gears quickly from one task to another. B2B Sales: This is the bulk of what you will be working on initially. We are looking to grow this side of our business and part of your role will be to help build the sales system for these clients. You will be working with the owner of the company to build this system. * Cold call and/or setup in-person visits with potential business clients. * Meet with potential business clients (such as local contractors, remodelers, etc.) to identify their needs and preferences for new custom cabinets, new custom doors and drawers, custom panels, etc. * Be willing to take direction on the current business client focus. * Identify additional needs, products, and services that could be provided during sales calls. * Identify new potential business client industries to target. * Develop quotations for business clients. * Attend local networking meetings within the business community to grow B2B sales. B2C Sales: There will be opportunities for you to help sell to our homeowner potential clients. You will learn the current sales system from our owner as you accompany him on sales calls. * Meet with clients in their homes or on phone calls to identify their needs and preferences. * Identify additional needs, products, and services that could be provided during sales calls. * Develop quotations for clients. *Basic Sales Tasks (Both B2B & B2C): * Follow-up with clients on quotations to close the sale. * Log all information into our CRM. * We will provide a company car, but you will need reliable transportation to get to the warehouse/office to meet with the owner to discuss daily tasks. The company car is not for personal use. * This is not a position where you will be sitting in an office making calls most of the time. Regular driving and meeting in-person with potential clients will be required. Some nights and weekends may be required, also, depending on when clients and potential clients can meet. * Be willing to add to your responsibilities as your role and our customer base grows. Qualifications * Previous sales experience required. * Must have at least 2 years experience in sales with a proven track record in either B2C or B2B. * Good communication, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. * Comfortable with technology on various platforms, such as MS Office, Zoom, Google suite, CRMs, etc. * Knowledge of home improvement services is preferred, but not required. * Prior experience dealing with contractors, remodelers or prior working experience in the contracting/remodeling space preferred, but not required. Pay will be a Bi-Weekly draw (TBD) + commission for the first 90 days. We will reassess at 90 days for performance which could lead to the option to have a salary + commission (the commission would be lower for this option).
