Summary As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be integral to delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales in our store. Your core skills in retail sales, cash handling, and communication will enable you to assist customers effectively and manage transactions accurately. You will also utilize your premium skills in merchandising and product demonstrations to enhance the shopping experience. With a focus on stocking and maintaining inventory, you will help ensure our store remains organized and appealing. Role and Responsibilities * Open and close the store on time. * Upkeep of the store including storerooms, restrooms and the exterior clean including trash, floors, dusting and sanitation/disinfecting of store surfaces. * Interact with customers so that they have a positive experience from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. * Assist in maintaining an accurate store inventory. * Process in-person, phone call & on-line transactions for customers as needed or as instructed by a supervisor. * Communicate with the supervisor(s) on inventory needs. * Keep the store shelves, racks & displays fully always stocked. * Promote items to customers with the goal of upselling. * Run the register including processing different payment types. Keep the cash drawer(s) balanced. * Other duties as assigned. Certifications & Required Training * None Required for the Job * Must be able to read, speak and write the English language. * Must be able to follow instructions. * Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to customers via phone, email & in-person. * Must be 16 years of age or older. * Must be able to operate a computer. * Must have the ability to count large amounts of cash and coin with or without machine. * Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site on assigned days and times in an area without public transportation or ride-share service. Hours and Compensation: * Opportunity to work Monday - Saturday, up to 20 hours/week. * Store Operating hours are between 9:00 am - 6:00 Monday thru Friday & 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday * All Opening shifts are scheduled 30 minutes prior & Closing shifts are scheduled 30 minutes post Store Operating hours. * Pay starts at $16.50 per hour with increase potential based on store sales growth.
