Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fine Jewelry Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and sales, with a keen eye for detail and a love for fine jewelry. This role requires engaging with customers, providing exceptional service, and assisting them in selecting the perfect pieces to meet their needs.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in their jewelry selection process.
• Provide product demonstrations and educate customers about the features and benefits of various jewelry pieces.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Operate cash registers and software efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and processing of transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring all displays are well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Handle customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing timely responses to questions about products or services.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals while supervising junior staff when necessary.
• Apply retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment as needed.
• Assist customers with repair intake and custom orders.
• Assist team members with quality control on repairs and custom pieces.
• Assist team members with Special ordering, tracking, delivery and returns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in fine jewelry or luxury goods.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers.
• Ability to perform basic retail math calculations accurately.
• A genuine interest in fine jewelry, including knowledge of different types of gemstones, metals, and current trends in the industry.
