Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: * Responds promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email, ensuring follow-up within one business day and referring to appropriate resources when needed * Troubleshoots and diagnoses customer issues to identify required parts, then prepares and delivers accurate sales quotes in a timely manner * Prioritizes and escalates customer requests based on account status, mission criticality, and complexity to ensure timely and effective resolution * Utilizes departmental software to monitor performance metrics, identify challenges, and recommend solutions that support customer satisfaction and sales goals * Maintains an up-to-date database of frequently requested parts to streamline quoting and order processing * Promotes additional products and services to drive parts sales revenue, enhance mission readiness, and proactively inform customers of new offerings * Builds and maintains strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to support operational success * Proactively communicates with customers about delays or issues related to quotes or shipments, offering solutions to maintain trust and satisfaction * Conducts outbound sales calls to generate revenue and consistently strives to exceed sales quotas Minimum Qualifications * Customer Service & Sales Expertise - Brings over 3 years of experience in parts sales, with a strong track record of meeting revenue goals through exceptional customer service. Demonstrates the ability to identify customer needs, upsell effectively, and conduct outbound sales when directed * Effective Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Communicates clearly, professionally, and proactively with both internal teams and external customers. Skilled in building rapport, resolving issues with empathy, and maintaining a customer-first approach across all channels * Adaptability & Time Management - Remains flexible and responsive to changing priorities and customer demands. Excels in managing time effectively to maintain productivity throughout the workday * Problem-Solving & Resourcefulness - Demonstrates creative and strategic thinking in diagnosing customer needs and providing tailored solutions, often with limited information * Technical & Computer Proficiency - Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using sales/customer service platforms and parts management software to manage data and generate reports * Organizational Skills & Documentation - Highly organized with a strong commitment to structured processes and accurate documentation, reducing reliance on informal or undocumented workflows * Industry & Logistics Knowledge - Possesses a solid understanding of logistics, including parts distribution timelines, industry challenges, and opportunities for operational improvements * Educational Background - Holds a High School Diploma or GED (High School Equivalency Certificate) Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
