Summary Hiring friendly outgoing Sales Associates who enthusiastically ride and know bicycles. Snowsports experience a plus. You will have a focus on exceeding client expectations and company goals - all in a fun, welcoming and fast paced environment! A passion for cycling, skiing and snowboarding and a proactive and positive attitude are qualities at the top of our list. In this job you will * Engage with and educate shoppers about the active outdoor lifestyle and the healthy products and services our company can provide * Help clients solve problems and maximize their enjoyment of future outdoor experiences * Assist in the daily operations of the store, including restocking, cleaning, organizing and merchandising Successful candidates will display the following qualities: * outgoing, friendly attitude * well developed listening & communication skills * strong desire to help other people * participate in some form of snow sliding sport and enjoy introducing others to it * ride bicycles frequently and enjoy introducing other people to riding * ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * initiative to find & complete other tasks as needed * desire to continually update job-related knowledge base * excellent references from previous employers If you think you have what it takes to excel in this position, please indicate your interest and we'll be in touch about next steps. Duties Duties include but are not limited to: * Greet shoppers where they want make contact with this business (in person, by phone, through email/chat/text/social, etc) * Utilize proven processes to understand clients' needs and ascertain the right combination of products and services for each * Provide positive and exciting, exceptional customer service * Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices * Describe technical products and explain use, operation and care of these * Help clients apply or register for financing, service contracts, or warranty coverage * Prepare merchandise for display, purchase or rental use * Merchandise products according to store plan * Help customers try on or fit merchandise * Maintain store cleanliness throughout the day * Count inventory as directed and help reconcile discrepancies * Other duties as needed/ assigned Requirements Requirements include but are not limited to: * Outgoing, friendly, flexible personality. * Proven integrity and character as verified by excellent references from previous employer/s. * Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends. * Desire to join a team committed to providing excellent sales and service experience while increasing sales through service * Strong attention to detail * Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and clients * Two or more years' personal experience in at least one discipline of snow sports: alpine ski, snowboard, or other * Two or more years' personal experience in at least two disciplines of cycling: road, mountain, gravel, commute, recumbent, tandem, e-bike etc * Interest in continually developing own skills and knowledge of bike riding and snow sports equipment Nice To Haves * One or more year/s experience working as a retail sales associate or or other front-line customer service position * Previous bike or snow store sales experience preferred * Ability to periodically lift 40 pounds Benefits A competitive benefits package including store discount and flexible scheduling is available to all associates.
