Job Title: Business Development & Sales Specialist Location: Canton, Michigan (On-site) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM About Roman Foods: Roman Foods is a fast-growing, family-owned manufacturer of premium tahini and other specialty food products. We're passionate about delivering high-quality, authentic flavors to our customers while maintaining a fun, dynamic work environment. As we continue to expand our presence in the market, we're looking for a talented and driven Business Development & Sales Specialist to join our team on-site in Canton, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Research and pursue prospective customers, retail partners, and distributors to increase market share and drive revenue.
- Manage Customer Relationships: Build, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with current and potential clients through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Lead Generation & Outreach: Use multiple channels--phone, email, social media--to connect with leads, set appointments, and close deals.
- Market Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies and product offerings.
- Travel & Trade Shows: Occasionally travel to meet clients or attend industry events to showcase our products and generate leads.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure customer needs are met and company goals are achieved.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track key metrics (e.g., sales targets, lead conversion) and report progress regularly to leadership.
Qualifications
- Sales Experience: Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management preferred (especially within food or consumer packaged goods).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, independently identify opportunities, and think strategically.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be open to occasional travel to meet clients or attend trade shows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & CRM Tools: Familiarity with common software tools for reporting, presentations, and managing contacts. What We Offer
