Summary We are seeking a results-driven Flooring Sales Representative to join our team and manage projects from initial consultation to final installation. In this role, you will partner with clients to determine material selections, generate accurate quotes using our in-house estimator, and oversee all project logistics, including material ordering and installation scheduling. To excel, you must bring 3 to 5 years of dedicated flooring sales experience and possess a strong, established network of local builders. Job

Duties

• Customer Consultation & Selection: Meet with retail customers, designers, and builders to understand their project needs, guide them through product selections (carpet, hardwood, tile, luxury vinyl, etc.), and provide expert design and technical advice.
• Estimating & Quoting: Utilize our in-house estimators to accurately calculate material quantities and project costs, ensuring profitable and precise project bids.
• Quote & Revision Management: Efficiently manage, update, and track revisions to customer quotes as project scopes change, maintaining clear communication regarding pricing adjustments.
• End-to-End Project Management : Oversee jobs from the initial sale through to completion. This includes ordering materials, tracking lead times, and ensuring everything arrives on schedule.
• Logistics & Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule product pickups, deliveries, and installation teams to ensure a seamless execution and a high-quality finished product.
• Relationship Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of their project, proactively resolving any issues that arise to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience : 3 to 5 years of proven experience specifically in flooring sales (retail, commercial, or builder-focused).
• Established Network : A strong, pre-existing book of business and established relationships with local residential or commercial builders in the area.
• Technical Proficiency : Comfortable learning and using specialized software; experience with digital flooring takeoff/estimating tools is highly preferred.
• Project Management Skills : Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, handle logistics, and meet tight deadlines.
• Communication & Negotiation: Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building trust, handling revisions gracefully, and closing deals.
• Detail-Oriented : Highly precise in measuring, calculating margins, and reviewing order specifications to minimize material waste and costly errors.

Compensation

• Base salary plus commission Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
