Senior Business Development Director - SMB & Enterprise Markets Location: New Jersey / New York / Connecticut (Remote/Hybrid) Reports To: CEO Position Overview: AVPros is seeking a driven and strategic Senior Business Development Director to spearhead growth initiatives across small, medium, and enterprise markets in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. This role will focus on expanding our client base by delivering tailored solutions in Audio Visual, IT Infrastructure, Access Control, Alarm Systems , and Surveillance Systems. The ideal candidate has a strong network, a proven track record of success in technology sales, and a deep understanding of how to meet the unique needs of businesses across multiple industries. Key Responsibilities: Market Expansion & Revenue Growth * Develop and execute a strategic go-to-market plan targeting small, medium, and enterprise businesses. * Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities across a variety of industries including corporate, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and government. * Understand and anticipate technology trends and business needs across diverse customer segments. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including IT leaders, facilities managers, and executive teams. Strategic Partnerships & Sales Development * Establish partnerships with manufacturers, distributors, and technology consultants to strengthen AVPros' solution offerings. * Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and contract negotiations for complex and large-scale projects. * Manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools and execute strategic outreach campaigns. Client Success & Project Collaboration * Work closely with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution of services. * Provide excellent customer experience through continuous engagement, issue resolution, and post-project follow-up. * Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on evolving client needs. Brand Representation & Industry Engagement * Represent AVPros at industry trade shows, networking events, and business forums to enhance brand visibility. * Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns, case studies, and client success stories. * Stay current on the competitive landscape, industry innovations, and emerging market opportunities. Qualifications & Skills: * 2+ years of business development or sales experience in Audio Visual, IT Infrastructure, Security Systems, or Technology Integration. * Strong understanding of sales cycles within SMB, mid-market, and enterprise accounts. * Proven success building relationships with C-level executives, IT decision-makers, and operational stakeholders. * Experience responding to RFPs and crafting customized sales proposals. * Proficient with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools. * Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. * Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Compensation: This role offers a competitive base salary combined with a commission structure designed to reward successful client acquisition and revenue growth. Final compensation will be based on experience and performance metrics.
