The position of Business Account Manager/Merchandiser is an exciting opportunity to be the catalyst that drives growth, change and support in Melissa's retail accounts. The role will be remote based (at home) with notable travel by car targeted between store locations in the Cleveland Ohio Region & Greater Chicago area to work with Heinen's supermarkets. Responsibilities - Build productive relationships with produce managers, buyers, regional merchandisers, and sourcing managers -Creatively sell to retail audience new items, programs and create win-win solutions - Collaborate in a team environment impact driven business plans and strategy - Develop and engage advance promotional planning consistent with account needs - Embrace innovation and identify growth opportunities - Coordinate account presentations and participate in targeted meetings - Support an organized and effective on-going communication flow to drive plan execution Account Engagement & Support - Build and support in-store display merchandising compliant to schematics - Identify points of entry for Melissas items and programs at store level - Engage special projects, education, in-store demos and other account events - Provide and document store opportunities and information in a reporting format - Initiate and support account orders, related accounting issues and requests - Identify best in market initiatives, products and operators - Visit warehouses, growers and identify potential suppliers - Support additional localized retail accounts upon request - Expectation is to work four days in the field and one day in home office. - Work week to include week days and weekends, Monday - Friday and weekends as needed - Work day is 7am to 4pm or as accounts needs dictate - Occasional overnight stays 2-3 nights may be needed - Expectation is to maintain a professional image as an employee of Melissas Metrics Focus & Responsibility - Navigate internal applications to obtain information to relate performance. - Monitor and be able to relate account budget and goal performance to targets - Meet or exceed category and account budgeted sales/volume targets - Maintain knowledge of store performance in produce as per guidelines - Engage a sales driving and volume minded focus in sync with customers' needs - Assessing the effectiveness of different product displays and store layouts on sales figures Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off * Retirement plan * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Weekends as needed Ability to Commute: * Cleveland, OH 44115 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Cleveland, OH 44115: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
