Job Responsibilities: * Assist customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner. * Advise and assist customers with their choice of product. * Utilize suggestive selling and the assumptive approach to drive sales. * Create orders and process sales according to established procedures. * Verify the accuracy of orders to ensure customer satisfaction. * Assist in restocking product to ensure salesfloor is well merchandised. * Develop and maintain product knowledge to effectively assist customers. * Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Paint Retail experience required, preferably one year or more. Hardware Retail experience would also be acceptable. * Our stores are open Monday-Friday (7am-6pm) and Saturdays (8am-4pm). Employees must be available to work shifts that are scheduled during those business hours and some overtime as necessary. * Must be reliable and demonstrate consistency in your approach to work. * Must be able lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. * Must be team-oriented and able to work well with others. * Must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds. * Must possess a professional appearance and demeanor.
