Work Environment: NGL offers a flexible work environment where employees can work fully remote, hybrid or onsite at our Madison, Wis. office. We support virtual working arrangements in certain states outside of WI. * A Day in the Life: The Processing Specialist performs service requests, financial transactions and other related processing functions for the Policy Services teams. Additional duties include performing policy changes and other support tasks on all administration systems. Individuals in this role must effectively and professionally communicate and correspond with external and internal customers including policyholders, agents, administrative personnel, and employees. In this role, work is performed under general supervision. Primary Responsibilities: * Accurately process routine service requests according to Standard Operating Procedures and within established service guidelines. * Accurately follow procedures to process policy changes, financial transactions, policy lapses and reinstatements, outstanding checks, and returned mail. * Understand the importance of the work responsible for and the consequences of incorrect or incomplete work. * Make recommendations and provide input to resolve complex problems. * Ability to work with staff outside of team on requests requiring additional specialized skills. * Document decisions in the policy file and inform others as needed. * Recommend improvements to processes/procedures and assist in implementing process enhancements. * Provide progress reports/updates on the status of individual cases and projects. * Escalate complex policy changes to senior-level team members. Provide effective written and verbal communication. * Utilize template letters to correspond with external customers, making necessary adjustments when appropriate. * Seek assistance/guidance as needed to provide the best support possible, and report any issues that arise. Help ensure that team standards and goals are maintained. * Prioritize and process work according to team standards. * Collaborate with team members to meet turnaround expectations. * Actively participate in team meetings and team building activities, either virtually or in person. * Suggest updates to team procedures and reference material. Perform other related work as requested or required. Schedule: This is full-time hourly position with the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. CST, Monday - Friday.
