Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with sales, stock management, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system and cash register.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and managing inventory.
• Assist with visual merchandising to create an appealing shopping environment.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through strategic prospecting, leveraging some cold calls, emails and networking to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong basic math skills, including retail math, to manage transactions effectively.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
