Full description of the position

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The Sales Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, promoting products, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. This individual will assist customers in selecting products, answer inquiries, and contribute to the overall success of the store by meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

:

• Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service
• Assist customers with product selection and provide product information
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point of sale (POS) system
• Ensure the gift shop floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing
• Address customer complaints or concerns with a positive and professional attitude
• Meet or exceed sales goals and performance targets
• Help in-store visual merchandising and displays to enhance product visibility
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and store policies
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques

Qualifications

:

• Previous sales experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or retail experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-focused with a passion for helping others
• Ability to work well in a team environment and take initiative
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as needed
• Flexible and adaptable to changing store needs and schedules
• Previous retail or sales experience is preferred but not required

Work Environment

:

• Fast-paced retail environment
• Requires standing, walking, and occasionally lifting items throughout the shift
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the store schedule Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per year
