The Role: As a Design and Sales Consultant, you'll seamlessly blend creativity with client service. You will serve as both a style designer and trusted advisor for our esteemed clientele, guiding them in defining their unique style and collaboratively designing bespoke pieces that ensure they are impeccably dressed for every occasion. Responsibilities: Design Consultation: * Guide clients through the complete custom design process, from concept to creation * Translate client visions into concrete design specifications * Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals. * Advise on fabric selection, styling details, and customization options * Work directly with production team to ensure design integrity throughout creation Client Engagement: * Develop a deep understanding of clients' preferences, style aspirations, and lifestyle needs * Oversee the entire custom journey, from initial design consultation to final fitting Sales & Business Development: * Meet and exceed sales goals while providing exceptional design service * Identify and pursue new client acquisition opportunities * Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful strategies Client Relations: * Build lasting relationships with clients based on design expertise and trust * Maintain meticulous records in our CRM system to track client preferences and design history * Keep clients informed about new styles, fabrics, and exclusive opportunities Candidate Profile: * Design-Minded: Possesses strong aesthetic sensibilities and understanding of garment construction * Adaptable & Responsive: Thrives in the dynamic environment of full custom clothing creation * Excellent Communicator: Able to articulate design concepts clearly and listen effectively to client needs * Fashion-Forward: Keeps current with evolving style trends while respecting timeless design principles * Client-Focused: Prioritizes client satisfaction throughout the design and sales process * Organized & Efficient: Manages multiple client design projects simultaneously with attention to detail Experience Requirements: * Required: Minimum of two years' experience in retail sales or customer service * Preferred: Experience in fashion design, styling, or custom clothing * Knowledge of fabric properties, garment construction, and tailoring techniques * A passion for custom clothing and a desire for continuous learning within the industry Why The Tailory New York: * Join a forward-thinking team shaping the future of bespoke fashion * Receive comprehensive training in both design and sales aspects of custom tailoring * Benefit from a competitive compensation package with significant growth potential * Work in a collaborative environment where creativity and client service are equally valued * Help clients express their individuality through personally designed custom pieces Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume and a tailored cover letter to [please apply online].
