Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Your ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and promote our products will be key to your success in this position. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Provide knowledgeable product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. * Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and cash register. * Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience. * Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. * Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. * Uphold company policies regarding phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone. Skills * Proven experience in retail sales with a strong focus on customer service. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. * Familiarity with product demonstrations and the ability to convey product benefits clearly. * Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer inquiries professionally. * Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is a plus. * Ability to sell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor. * Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems efficiently. * Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. * Previous experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous but not required.
