Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Help/Yard Help to join our team at the Water Rite/Standard Plumbing Store. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the counter. The ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with customers and team members. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while assisting them with their needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly as they arrive at the counter.
• Assist customers with inquiries, providing information about products and services.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Promote sales by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Keep track of inventory levels and assist in restocking as necessary. Skills
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with retail math to assist in sales transactions.
• Experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to address customer inquiries and issues.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
