Overview We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your primary responsibilities will include managing cash registers, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities * Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. * Assist customers with their purchases and provide product information. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions and sales to effectively communicate with customers. * Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies. * Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. * Perform basic retail math to ensure accurate pricing and change. * Conduct product demonstrations as needed to enhance customer experience. * Answer customer inquiries via phone or in-person with professionalism and courtesy. Skills * Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems for transaction processing. * Strong understanding of retail math for accurate cash handling. * Previous experience in a grocery store or similar retail environment is preferred. * Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail. * Experience in retail sales, providing exceptional customer service. * Ability to conduct engaging product demos to promote items effectively. * Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally. * Basic math skills for quick calculations at the register. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
