Overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive shopping experience will be key to our success. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Responsibilities * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process customer transactions. * Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed neatly and attractively. * Assist customers with product inquiries, providing information about features, benefits, and promotions. * Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. * Conduct product demonstrations as needed to educate customers on new items or promotions. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use. * Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment responsibly while adhering to company policies. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance. Skills * Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience. * Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. * Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus. * Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members, including bilingual capabilities if applicable. * Experience in retail sales or cashier roles preferred but not required. * Knowledge of stock management practices to assist in maintaining inventory levels. * Proficiency in using POS systems for transaction processing is advantageous.
