The Store Associate will have a variety of administrative responsibilities and provide strong support to the growth and success of the business. An ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor and have an interest, previous experience or knowledge in the truck equipment and/or landscape supply industry. We are looking for someone who wants a career, has a positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow.

Company Overview

Bigfoot Landscape Supply is Northeast Ohio's premier distributor of truck equipment, snow and ice equipment, and landscape supply. We offer local contractors a wide range of landscape supplies including Unilock pavers, mulch, gravel, and a full array of tools and accessories. When the weather turns our business shifts to the sale and installation of SnowDogg snowplows, SaltDogg Spreaders, and bulk and bagged salt and de-icing materials. In addition, Bigfoot carries a whole line of truck and trailer accessories including truck toolboxes, LED lighting, trailer racks, ladder racks, and dump inserts. All this sits in our newly re novated 10,000 square foot showroom. It is a truly a "one-of-a-kind" place within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise the selling floor, visual displays, presentations and conditions
• Check-in/verify receipt of inventory.
• Utilizes resources to educate self on full-line of product offerings.
• Maintains solid product knowledge and merchandise presentation
• Meets customer's needs by assisting with locating merchandise, informing customers of promotions and censuring a positive shopping experience
• Respond to all customer inquiries on all product lines
• Receive customer orders by phone, fax or email and clarify any order discrepancies
• Expedites point of sale transactions at the time of sale
• Operate forklift and front-end loader.
• Deliver orders of mulch, stone, aggregate, and other materials to residential and commercial customers.
• Saturday's will be required during busy season

Requirements

• Valid class C drivers' license and ability [to pass health test to operate our vehicles]
• Experience operating forklift.
• Experience operating front-end loader.
• Landscape or Construction experience preferred
• High school diploma
• 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience
• Can set priorities, meet deadlines and accomplish team objectives.
• Self-motivated and positive team player
• Possess strong data entry skills - efficient & accurate
• Effective verbal/written communications skills Skills & Abilities Needed
• Best in class customer service skill-set
• Ability to use email, and basic suite of computer programs including spreadsheets
• Strong knowledge-base in landscape supply (mulch, paver, hardscape sales, etc.)
• Organizational skills including time management
• Experience with truck, ice and snow equipment is preferred Physical

Work Environment

• Mobility and dexterity to move around a retail setting including accessing file cabinets or storage and navigating to different workstations.
• Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time and engage in some repetitive motion.
• Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.
• Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to operate machinery, forklift, front end loader.
• Environment may be dusty and dirty at times from materials.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively at times.
• Position will require some outdoor work in inclement weather while loading customers. Job Type: Full-time
