OVERVIEW: The Territory Sales Representative is a dynamic, field-based role responsible for growing and supporting Bailey Nurseries' customer base in the Northeastern U.S. This position offers the chance to represent a respected, family-owned leader in the green industry, known for its premium plants, innovative spirit, and collaborative culture. Backed by a strong brand and experienced team, the representative will build lasting customer relationships and contribute to Bailey's continued success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serve as the exclusive representative for Bailey Nurseries in the assigned territory. 2. Develop and execute a territory-specific strategic sales plan aligned with company sales directives. 3. Maintain weekly communication with the Regional Sales Manager, providing updates on sales goals, customer insights, and market conditions. 4. Travel regularly throughout the territory to visit current and prospective customers, build relationships, provide consultative support, and identify new business opportunities. 5. Maintain daily contact with your Inside Sales Representative and communicate regularly with internal departments such as credit, inventory, shipping, order entry, and production. 6. Stay active in trade shows, industry events, and regional associations to represent Bailey Nurseries and stay informed on market trends. 7. Respond promptly to customer requests and concerns while adhering to company policies and service standards. 8. Manage travel and business expenses in alignment with company guidelines. 9. Attend national sales meetings and company events as scheduled. 10. Stay informed about new plant varieties, industry innovations, and best practices in horticulture. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: * Proven experience in territory sales or account management within the nursery or green industry, including growers, garden centers, landscapers, or distributors, required. * Proven track record of building customer relationships and driving sales in a field-based environment, required. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset. * Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and driven to exceed expectations. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM platforms. * Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory. * Must meet company criteria through Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
